About the event:
Winter Photography is such a wonderfully enchanting genre! We love the variety on Camversation and this is a perfect example of that. Eddie Hyde is an experienced presenter and fabulous photographer. I'm excited to be able to bring this brand new talk to our community!
About the talk, from Eddie:
I love taking photographs all year round but when I examine my output, I find that I produce the greatest number of satisfying landscape images in the winter months or in wintry conditions.
This talk explores winter photography, starting locally, which for me is Surrey in England. This is not a location that is typically thought of as a winter destination. Snow is very rare. We get the very occasional hoar frost and our most common winter conditions that provide photogenic images are mist and fog. However, this can still be made to work.
I then start to move progressively further afield in search of more traditional (snowy) environments and will also touch upon gear and clothing that I have found useful for when the conditions become physically challenging.
