Date & time:
13 Nov 2023, 19:00 – 21:00 GMT
Zoom (link will be emailed ahead of event)
About the event:
Martine was recommended by several members of the community and I can't wait to hear her speak to the group about her life in the industry of commercial architectural photography. This is one of the best things about Camversation and online talks - the opportunity to engage with speakers and topics we'd not normally be able to!
About the Talk:
With over three decades in commercial architectural photography, Nottingham based Martine Hamilton Knight D Litt Hon, FHEA speaks about her life in the industry.
The evening is a mixture of ‘how to’ for those interested in shooting architecture, plus a chronological section on Martine’s time in the industry, discussing the technological and economic factors affecting business and output throughout that period.
Martine runs Line and Light Photography School (www.lineandlight.co.uk), and lectures on the BA in Professional Practice for Photography at Nottingham Trent University, so there’s a rich heritage of teaching photographers over the last decade.
Martine has just authored Photography for Architects, a 400 page title due for publication by Routledge in late summer 2023 and is currently under commission for Yale University Press shooting for the very last of the Pevsner Architectural Guides to be updated; Buildings of England:Staffordshire.
The evening is pretty informal, lively and people say they learn a lot!
