A Photographer's Day in Wells: Vintage Lenses, a Cathedral & More!

Join us for a very special, in-person photography meet-up in Wells, England's smallest city and a true photographer's paradise!

If you've never been, Wells is a dream location, boasting a magnificent cathedral, a stunning medieval street, a moated Bishop's palace, and yes... it's the home of Hot Fuzz!

This isn't just a standard photo walk. We're hosted by the wonderful Rose Atkinson, who is renowned for her beautiful vintage lens photography on Camversation and beyond! To make the day even more special, we have booked a room in the historic Town Hall to act as our home base. We'll meet here, and it will be our hub for the day—a place to chat, share gear, and practice.

Wells is incredibly compact, so everything is just a few minutes' walk away. As a bonus, it's also market day right outside our door!

Who is this for? Everyone!

While the day has a special focus on vintage lenses, all photographers are welcome.

• Vintage Lens Users: We'd love for you to come and share your passion, knowledge, and experience. Bring your favourite lenses to show off!

• The "Vintage Curious": Never used a vintage lens? This is your perfect chance to try! Come and see what all the fuss is about.

• All Photographers: Not interested in vintage lenses? No problem! This is a fantastic opportunity for a lovely day of photography in a stunning location with like-minded friends.

What's Happening at Our Home Base?

Our room in the Town Hall will be the heart of the event, featuring:

• Try-Before-You-Try: Rose will have a selection of her own vintage lenses and various mount adapters available for you to try on your camera.

• Still-Life Setup: We'll have a tabletop still-life arrangement ready for you to test lenses and practice your skills.

• Bring & Buy Table: This is your chance! You may be able to buy your very first vintage lens... or just go home with another one to add to your collection!

✨ Special Add-On: Guided Cathedral Tour ✨

Rose is also offering a guided photographic tour of the magnificent Wells Cathedral. This is a unique chance to explore the interior with her expert guidance and knowledge.

• Pre-booking is essential for the tour, as numbers may be limited.

• By joining the group, you will pay a reduced admission fee to the cathedral (not included in this ticket)

• Please note: Anyone can visit the cathedral on their own, but the guided tour offers reduced entry and Rose's expert insights.
