About Janet:
Janet Miles is a Somerset-based photographer with a passion for capturing the intricacies of the world through her camera lens.
A dedicated photographer, Janet finds that the camera reveals details that often go unnoticed. Her primary focus is the natural world, where she enjoys exploring the fine details of her subjects through close-up photography. She has a unique ability to find the "personality" in plants and animals. While she has a wealth of inspiration in her local Somerset, she also travels to capture unique moments further afield. In addition to the natural world, she is also interested in the abstract qualities of the built environment.
Janet has received several prestigious awards and distinctions in recognition of her photographic talent. These include a Licentiateship with the Royal Photographic Society and a Credit with the Photographic Alliance of Great Britain. She has also been awarded the two Crown award from the British Photographic Exhibitions (BPE2) and her AFIAP for her numerous works accepted into national and international exhibitions, where she has won gold medals. Her work is regularly featured in national photographic, travel, and lifestyle magazines and books.
This talk will be recorded and made available for four weeks after the event
