Creating Impact and Mood with Steve Hedges

It's wonderful to be able to welcome Steve to speak to Camversation for the first time. This talk was requested by several community members and I am excited to share this with you!

About the Talk:

This talk is about the thought process behind taking an image that has  “Impact and Mood”. What lighting do we need for as certain subject, what compositional tools can we use. Which techniques can we harness to create an image that will stay with the viewer.

Throughout the presentation we will be looking at the decisions we can take to focus our thought-process and our viewers’ attention on the image.

From Steve:

I have been a photographer for over 30 years, turning professional around 27 years ago.

During my career I have photographed a huge variety of subjects including public relations photography, commercial photography, portraiture, weddings, landscape and nature. I am fully qualified with the Master Photographer’s Association and the Royal Photographic Society. I have also been shortlisted in the 2011 and 2014 and 2015 Outdoor photographer of the year competitions and in the British Wildlife photographer of the year competition a number of times; the last time was in 2022. I would love to go one step further and win a category.
