About the event:
Mono Conversion techniques  (or 101 ways to create a black and white image)
In this session we’ll look at a range of techniques for creating mono images—the pros and cons, the dos and don’ts, the everyday workflows and the once-in-blue moon special techniques. We’ll look at the Channel Mixer and Black and White adjustments, the importance of Smart Objects, and get a little geeky with the Lab Colour mode. We’ll also explore how to evoke the look of traditional processes like cyanotypes, selenium, and sepia toning, and how to harness Photoshop features like Gradient Maps, Duotones, and the Threshold command to give your images a graphic look.
These talks will be recorded and made available for two weeks after the event.
Optional supporting content/handouts will be available
Images will be supplied to support this workshop
