About the talk:This is an introduction to how Sandra approaches 'Conceptual Story telling' and the thought process she goes through when making her images, including where she gets inspiration from. In this introductory session, Sanda will break down an image to show the layers and processes used. Sandra will be returning later in the year with more in-depth workshops. 6th October 2025 Session 1

Behind the Scenes: Live Composite Edit with Sandra

Join award-winning creative and Adobe Community Expert Sandra Dann. In this session, Sandra will demonstrate how she combines Photoshop techniques with AI tools to bring imaginative ideas to life. She will break down her layers step by step, explain her techniques clearly, and share practical tips on storytelling and adding whimsical details. Throughout the session, Sandra will also discuss her thought process and the creative decisions that shape her work.

10th November 2025 Session 2

Transform Your Images: The Art of Colour Grading

Sandra will demonstrate her colour techniques, discuss how she makes colour choices, and show you how to use colour to tell a story, create mood, and add atmosphere. Colour is Sandra’s specialty, and you’ll see firsthand how she incorporates colour grading into her workflow using Photoshop, Nik Collection, and textures to achieve depth and richness in her images.

21st December 2025 Session 3

Create and Combine: Embracing AI Tools in Digital Art

In this session, Sandra takes the mystery out of prompting and explains how to create your own prompts in a clear, easy-to-understand way. You’ll see how she uses tools like Adobe Firefly and other AI platforms to create backgrounds and elements for composite imagery.

Sandra also explores how prompts can guide light, atmosphere, colour, and mood, and how AI-generated pieces are brought into Photoshop and blended naturally into a finished artwork. This session focuses on using AI as a creative tool to explore ideas, experiment, and have fun — while keeping your own creative voice at the centre.

Sandra understands that AI can feel daunting or unfamiliar, and she shares how she embraces these tools to support and expand her digital art practice, opening up new creative possibilities rather than limiting them.
