About the event:
Everyone can join for FREE.

This includes individuals, clubs, societies and any other photographic association. This can be live broadcast to your members in group or communal settings, also.
We are thrilled to announce a brand new, FREE workshop series, hosted by Camversation in an official partnership with DxO!
This is a fantastic opportunity for the entire photographic community. Unlike watching a pre-recorded YouTube video, these sessions are completely live, informal, and interactive. You'll be able to ask your questions directly to official DxO representatives and get in-depth answers in real-time.
Whether you're a seasoned pro, a curious hobbyist, or just feel stuck in your current workflow, this is your chance to explore some of the most powerful editing tools on the market, with expert guidance, for free.
Here’s a detailed breakdown of the powerful software we'll be exploring together:
1. DxO PhotoLab (with FilmPack)
The Complete, All-in-One Powerhouse
What it is: This is DxO's flagship product and a direct, powerful competitor to Adobe Lightroom or Capture One. It is a complete, all-in-one RAW photo editor and image management system.
Key Features You'll Learn:
Legendary Optical Corrections: DxO is famous for its lab-based analysis of camera and lens combinations. PhotoLab automatically corrects distortion, vignetting, chromatic aberration, and lens softness with scientific precision.
DeepPRIME & DeepPRIME XD: Widely considered the world's best noise reduction and detail recovery technology. It uses AI to develop your RAW files, eliminating noise while simultaneously uncovering detail you thought was lost.
U Point™ Technology: A revolutionary way to make complex local adjustments. Instead of difficult painting of masks, you simply click on an area (like a sky or a face) and use control points to intuitively adjust brightness, contrast, and colour in that specific area only.
DxO FilmPack (Integrated): This is where the magic of creative expression comes in. FilmPack is a collection of high-fidelity, analog film simulations. It doesn't just add grain; it meticulously recreates the colour, contrast, and character of iconic films like Kodachrome 64, Ilford HP5, and Fuji Velvia.
Who is it for? Any photographer (from beginner to pro) who wants one single, powerful program to organize, edit, and perfect their images to the highest technical standard.
2. DxO PureRaw
The Magic Button to Upgrade Your RAW Files
What it is: Think of this as a digital car wash for your RAW files. It's not a full photo editor; it's a specialised pre-processing app that does one job perfectly: it cleans your images before you even start editing.
Key Features You'll Learn:
The Best of DxO, Simplified: PureRaw takes the two most famous features from PhotoLab—DeepPRIME Noise Reduction and the Optical Corrections—and puts them in a simple, drag-and-drop interface.
The "Pre-Treat" Workflow: You drag your original RAW files into PureRaw, it creates new, 'better' DNG (Digital Negative) RAW files. These new files are free of noise, perfectly sharp, and corrected for all lens flaws.
Perfect Integration: You then open these new, pristine DNGs in your editor of choice—including Lightroom, Photoshop, or any other editor you love.
Who is it for? Anyone who loves their current editor (like Lightroom) but wants to add DxO's world-class noise reduction and sharpness to their existing workflow. It's the ultimate upgrade.
3. DxO Viewpoint
For Perfect Lines and Distortion-Free Photos
What it is: This is a dedicated geometry and perspective correction tool. It's designed to fix the wonky lines and distortion that cameras (especially wide-angle lenses) can create.
Key Features You'll Learn:
Fix Keystoning: This is its main job. When you take a photo of a tall building, it looks like it's falling over backward. Viewpoint allows you to straighten all vertical and horizontal lines perfectly.
Volume Deformation Correction: A unique tool that fixes stretching at the edges of a photo. If you take a group shot with a wide-angle lens, people on the sides can look unnaturally stretched. Viewpoint corrects this, making them look natural.
Fix Lens Distortion: While PhotoLab does this too, Viewpoint is a dedicated tool for fixing complex barrel or pincushion distortion.
Who is it for? Anyone who shoots architecture, real estate, or landscapes—or simply wants to fix those "wonky" lines on group photos and wide-angle shots.
4. DxO Nik Collection (Suite)
The Ultimate Creative Playground
What it is: This is the creative powerhouse of the DxO lineup. It is not one app, but a suite of 8-9 powerful, creative plugins that work inside your main editor (like PhotoLab, Photoshop, or Lightroom).
Key Plugins You'll Learn:
Color Efex Pro: The legendary workhorse. A massive library of creative filters for colour grading, toning, and adding effects. You can stack and combine filters to create your own unique recipes.
Silver Efex Pro: Widely considered the best black & white conversion tool ever made. It moves far beyond a simple desaturate button, giving you a complete digital darkroom with controls for film grain, contrast, and tonal relationships.
Viveza: Uses the same U Point™ technology (control points) to make selective adjustments to colour and tone without complex masks.
Sharpener Pro & Dfine: Advanced tools for professional, selective sharpening (e.g., sharpening just the eyes) and noise reduction (though DeepPRIME is now DxO's lead noise tool).
Who is it for? The creative photographer who wants to apply artistic styles, create award-winning black & white images, and have a limitless palette of creative looks.
