About the event:
I am absolutely delighted to welcome the fantastic Carys Jones to Camversation for this special two-part series. Many of you may have already seen Carys sharing her incredible work on one of the main stages at The Photography Show in Birmingham earlier this year, where she received superb feedback.
Carys has a unique ability to capture the soul and movement of horses, moving far beyond the traditional to create something truly artistic. While she uses the horse as her primary muse, the core of this series is about mastering creative movement. Whether you enjoy landscapes, street photography, or still life, the skills she shares are designed to inspire a new way of looking through your lens.
The Series

The fundamentals of working with animal subjects, the evolution of a creative style, and how to combine shutter speeds and camera movements with soul.
An overview of the creative techniques to consider when photographing other subjects.

In this technical follow-up, Carys dives into the how. She will reveal the simple editing habits and the cost-effective secret weapons she keeps in her kit bag.
Carys will share:
Detailed creative techniques, how to find inspiration in other art forms, and how to apply these methods to any subject matter.
You Will Learn:

Layering Stories: How to effectively use multiple exposures in-camera to add depth to your work.
The Artist’s Eye: Essential tips for working with subjects that do not sit still.
Universal Inspiration: Simple post-processing habits and finding inspiration in other art forms that you can apply to your entire portfolio.
From Mark:
I recently shared some of Carys’s work with my wife, and I have to tell you, it absolutely hit the spot. Carys has a fascination with movement that is just infectious. Having seen the reaction to her presentation at the Photography Show in Birmingham, I knew we had to bring her to the community.
Even if you have never stood in a stable in your life, the way she explains creative techniques is fantastic. These are skills you can take into any genre, from woodland photography to coastal scenes. She is a wonderful presenter and a true artist. You really will not want to miss this one.
