Street Photography - How to feel the fear, do it anyway, and get great images
Date & time:
12 Apr 2023, 19:00 – 21:00 BST
Zoom (link will be emailed ahead of event)
About the event:
In response to the MANY requests for both Caroline to come back and talk with us and this presentation specifically, I'm please to say that Caroline will be joining us again! This time, it's all going to be about street photography.
About the talk (from Caroline):
"People have often said to me that they really like my street photography, but then the next words which follow are something along the lines of I am not brave enough to do it myself. What they don’t realise is that I am not brave and I still get butterflies…..and this is normal. Many top street photographers still have nerves. In this talk I hope to take you on a journey which will look at what street photography is; what makes a great street image; some simple technical stuff on how to capture and produce your street images; and some thoughts on style.  I will also talk about confidence and share techniques and tools which will help you manage your nerves and enable you to go out and get great street images."
From Caroline:
My photography is a reflection of both my life in London and my rural upbringing in a small country village in the South of England.
I am drawn to human elements and documenting everyday life, chance occurrences, captured moments, a look, a gaze, a feeling, an attitude, a time or a place. Â Â But then I seek an escape from the hustle and bustle and create minimalist snowscapes and seascapes which for me represent 'space to breathe' away from the urban density of city life.
