Step into the quiet beauty of the woods with this stunning presentation from community favourite Eddie Hyde FRPS.
Woodland photography is notoriously difficult to master. It is very easy to wander into the forest and feel completely overwhelmed by the visual chaos. In this recorded session, Eddie shares his calming, methodical approach to treescape photography, showing you exactly how to find order and beauty amongst the branches.
This is a subject very close to Eddie's heart. He shares the beautiful local images that earned him his Fellowship with the Royal Photographic Society, all of which were captured within just 20 miles of his home.
What you will explore in this session:
Shinrin Yoku: How the Japanese concept of forest bathing can bring profound tranquillity to your photography.
Finding Order in Chaos: Practical tips for spotting shapes, parallel lines, and natural separation between trees.
The Three Scales of Woodland: How to master the wider view, trees in their environment, and the intimate landscape.
Atmosphere and Light: How to use mist, fog and seasonal light to simplify complex scenes and create mood.
