About the event:

Kathleen is a living legend in the world of floral photography and has been widely requested to present to Camversation. It has been a pleasure organising these three BRAND NEW presentations from Kathleen.

About the talks:

June 3rd, 2026:

All About Textures- Textured images are everywhere! Adding texture layers has become very popular, and a great way to add a different look to your photos. Textures can add content to an otherwise empty area of an image, they can change the mood or tone of a photo, and even create a painterly feel. A texture can help to fill the frame of your photo with content and add some punch and depth to to negative space.  Kathleen Clemons literally wrote the book when it comes to adding textures to your photographs! Her “All About Textures” e-book has been enormously successful. In this presentation Kathleen will share everything from how she finds and creates her textures to the different ways she applies and uses them.

July 1st, 2026:

The Magic of Blur-Though sharpness is a very important component of many photos, blur can also greatly enhance your images. Kathleen will share the many creative uses for blur, she will explain the different levels of blur and all of the ways that using well placed blur can help you to create stronger images. From selective focus, shooting through and motion blur to the best uses of foreground and background blur, you'll learn the different ways she adds the magic of blur to her photographs in camera.

August 5th, 2026:

Kathleenisms: Whispers from the Garden- Kathleen has many sayings and expressions she has used over the last 20 years when teaching to emphasize a point, concept or technique. In fact, her students often tell her they hear her voice while they are out photographing flowers. In this presentation Kathleen puts many  of her “Kathleenisms” together and show examples of how and why they can make your flower photos stronger.
