About the event:

About this talk:

Molly returns, back due to popular demand, to share a brand new talk with Camversation; How to edit flowers, plants and insects - a step by step guide to my workflow and producing fine art images

From Molly:

  • I will look at workflow and how I manage all my photos during and after importing them onto the computer.
  • I will show my editing process and how I use both Lightroom and Photoshop to get the best results in the quickest time.
  • Finally, I'll look at printing, show how I mount my own photos for exhibition (or for my wall) and how to make your own cards or where to have them printed.

About Molly:

Molly is an award-winning photographer who specialises in flower and plant photography. She is a member of the Professional Garden Photographers Association (PGPA), the Guild of Photographers (with whom she won the ‘Flora and Plants’ category in 2021 and the Insects category in 2022) and the Societies of Photographers. She has also won awards in the International Garden Photographer of the Year competition, Close Up Photographer of the Year and in 2021 won the ‘Plants’ category of the RHS Photographic Competition.

She is passionate about photographing flowers, plants and gardens at all times of the year and believes that encouraging others to visit gardens as a result of seeing her photos and writing can only be a good thing, and in particular can make a positive difference to mental health.

Her first book, Creative Flower and Plant Photography, is published with the Crowood Press and available form all good bookshops and Amazon.

Molly lives in East Kent with Ross and her two boys and is Head of Music at a school in Ramsgate, Kent. She loves gardening and walking in gardens and the countryside.

THIS TALK WILL BE RECORDED AND WILL BE AVAILABLE FOR TWO WEEKS AFTER THE EVENT.
