PhotoArt - Stan Farrow

PhotoArt - Stan Farrow

£5.00Price

It is a real honour for Stan to present to Camversation. I have enjoyed his work for a long time and he has been requested for many years!

You will have four weeks to watch this recording from the point of rental.

About the talk (from Stan):

In this Photo Art talk I show the inspiration behind some of my creative photographic artwork, with details of how it is produced. I am always far more interested in turning my photography into art, rather than producing work for competition purposes, although often the two do go hand-in hand. I do greatly enjoy using Photoshop creatively to make my digital art, especially still-life work with layers of texture. Having said that much of my work is simple to create at home with few digital skills whatsoever.

About Stan:

I describe myself as a creative digital photographer.  When I took early retirement a few years ago, I returned to university to study Art History, and I spent three years on that. Nowadays I enjoy applying my interest in modern art to my photographic work which has been ongoing since childhood.

I was born in Teddington in Middlesex and I spent my childhood days in West London. I went to University in St Andrews in Scotland, and then stayed on in Scotland, at first teaching Biology in schools. Latterly though I returned to the University of St Andrews as Associate Director of Admissions and as Director of the Access Centre. I took early retirement in 2005.

Stan's fee for this talk will be donated to the MS Society. You can also give more, if you wish:
